Muere SONNY "CELSO" TRINIDAD

El autor de comics filipino Sonny "Celso" Trinidad, autor de títulos como Dracula Lives!, The Son of Satan, Deadly Hands of Kung Fu o La Espada Salvaje de Conan; falleció antes de ayer 23 de Noviembre de 2009. Creador, junto a Mike Tan, del personaje El Gato, comenzó su carrera como ayudante de Francisco V. Coching, y fue desde 1990 hasta la fecha de su muerte que contribuyó al imaginario del horror en la historieta filipina con el título Holiday.

John Warner le dedicó estas palabras:

“The assignment went to Sonny Trinidad, who is very good. But you don’t need me to tell you that, as you’ve no doubt seen his work on THE LAND TIME FORGOT, GABRIEL THE DEVIL HUNTER (from Haunt of Horror) and THE SEVENTH VOYAGE OF SINBAD (in Marvel Spotlight #25). In spite of having about two weeks to pencil, ink, and letter the entire job, I think it turned out very well.”
